Hi, I’m Aprill!
I’m the lead planner and heart behind Tulle & Tinsel Event Co!
My passion for events began in a unique way– during my time as a dance teacher! Being responsible for coordinating large stage productions with over 100 children was certainly no easy feat! This experience, combined with my love of entertaining guests, sparked my interest in event planning.
I started by planning intricately themed birthday parties and eventually progressed to working as an associate for a top wedding planner. I gained even more experience by working as an event manager at a top D.C. full-service caterer and eventually as a planner at a well-known wedding venue. I took this approach because I wanted to have a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of the event industry before launching Tulle & Tinsel. I now have over ten years of valuable experience and knowledge!
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have a career that I truly love. I am passionate about ensuring that my clients not only have the event of their dreams, but also enjoy a worry-free and supportive planning process. My genuine care for my clients often leads to relationships that extend far beyond the wedding day. Sometimes I wish we could go back and do it all over again! I don’t take it for granted that I’m entrusted with one of the most significant moments of their lives!

Tulle, the delicate fabric of tutus and wedding gowns, embodies elegance; while tinsel adds a touch of glamour, extravagance, and playful fun. It’s no secret that I love pink, bows, sparkles, polka dots, flowers, and vintage elements. When I'm not planning events, I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, crafting, and spending time with friends. I'm thrilled to share my passion for event planning with you!
